Prinvix, a group of 3D printing business headquartered in Miami, Florida, announced today the launch of PetitMe; a new business for 3D printed figurines. The website Petitme.com went live late last week and is already proving to be a big hit.
PetitMe invites users to miniaturise themselves (or others) by adding their face to one of many characters available from a variety of collections such as professions, sports, fitness and events. If you are looking to create a mini version of yourself with the suit or dress you’ll be wearing at your wedding or give your graduating daughter a figurine in her image wearing her graduation gown, PetitMe has something unique and very special for you.

Several collections of 3D prints
The website is easy to browse and elegant. You can search for characters in specific categories (collections) and find many interesting choices. These include children, pets and even a mermaid. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, you are given a chance to make a request. It then gets added to PetitMe’s development schedule, which already includes characters such as karaoke singers, boy scouts and zodiac signs.
Apart from the pretty designs and easy navigation, what sets PetitMe apart from any other site selling figurines is the level of customization it offers. Not only can you put your own face on the 3D printed miniature of your choice, but you can pick the color you want for each piece of clothing or accessory, down to the laces of a runner’s training shoes or sneakers.
At 3DPrintWise, we were intrigued by this new enterprise. We briefly spoke to Victor Mendes, CEO of Prinvix and this is what he had to say:
“Buying a figurine is a fun experience. We think we have made it really simple and versatile too. We really put a lot of effort into offering customers different ways to dress their figurines the way they want.”
Victor continues: “Two important markets for PetitMe are wedding cake toppers and graduations. Prinvix is in the process of engaging wedding planners and photography studios through its affiliate marketing program. These businesses can now offer for the first time, that extra personal touch by producing figurines in their customer’s exact likeness.”

Prinvix manufactures its PetitMe figurines in its 3D print shop: located in the 3D Castle – a unit in the Wynwood Arts District of Miami. However, the company is already planning to have figurines made by local 3D print shops around the world as it expands its network.
