Demand For Additive Manufacturing

Spending On 3D Printing?

Sculpteo a well known company using additive manufacturing (a French company specialized in 3D printing in the cloud) has reported that spending is increasing on 3D printing. From their recent survey, 68% of those questioned said that they would be increasing the use and therefore spend on additive manufacturing this year. In addition and notably, 44% said they will be spending 50% more this year than last.

This latest news could be a welcome relief for 3D Systems (NYSE: DDD) and Stratasys, Ltd. (NASDAQ: SSYS) who have seen their stocks battered by the markets with the former losing a third of their value year to date and the later around a half.
