Trans Grande Vitesse

3D Printing Trans Grande Vitesse
No not SNCF the French railway company. Instead, the post office in France is launching 3D printing services at several of its major branches.

Reported a few weeks ago in late November but perhaps missed by many was news from the French post office.

The post office in France is about to trial 3D printing in 3 of their establishments. The service is aimed at individuals and professionals. Small corners will be set aside offering this service to the public. If successful, the French government intend to role out this new offer across the country in their main post offices – wow! – some Governments are actually on the ball.

Editor: Who would have thought that post offices would offer such a service so quickly – it is obviously a case of Trans Grande Vitesse.

For more details you can google translate the article from Le Monde newspaper (French). However, this is not all in La Belle France. A major retailer has decided to do likewise – Auchan is one of the largest retailers in France and it is doing likewise – A battle begins, no its a war – olivierdauvers.fr (French).
