Sedsti is a complete fan of Star Wars; so without further a do, here is what he had to say about his small but special business.
Star Wars Enthusiasts
My name is Sedsti and I design products for 3D printing which are inspired by the Star Wars universe. These include props, miniatures, and “light” saber accessories. All are original designs and based on items from a galaxy far away. My full Star Wars name is Sedsti Skyfaller. I use this name for all my profiles and the branding of my business. It is something I came up with as a Star Wars fan and from then on it evolved into my brand.
Star Wars is one of the most popular franchises in the world and continues to grow since Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm last year. Since childhood, Star Wars has resonated with me as a whole new world to explore. I grew up on the Prequel Trilogy movies (Episodes 1-3), but sought out the original movies (Episodes 4-6) much later on; continuing to be absorbed in this great universe. I now love all of them and what they represent, as well as the expanded media created afterwards. I am a scientist by trade and though there are of course many scientific anomalies in these films, the story itself is engaging enough to make me forget about all of that when I watch them. They don’t call it sci-fi for nothing.

I became interested with 3D printing as a way to bring characters and things from the Star Wars universe to life. When I began to realize what could be done with this technology, I fell in love with the possibilities to customize accessories and create new ones. As I learned to use 3D software, my designs continued to become more detailed and intricate. It’s a great feeling to be able to imagine something in your head and replicate it right in front of you.
All of the models in my shop I have made from the bottom up. Some of my designs are completely original, some are inspired by items seen in the universe, and some are based directly on items from the universe with my own take on them. Nothing is scanned in or created from a photograph. I am very careful not to infringe Disney’s copyright.
3D printed accessories for Star Wars enthusiasts
The main goal of my shop is to offer 3D printed models which allow people to feel like they are a part of the Star Wars universe, not only for collectibles but also costume pieces.
A great way for people to become engaged in this world is to create costumes that turn them into a character. Perhaps for a play, a fancy dress party or a themed reunion (there are many Star Wars groups around the country).
Star Wars Republic credits – 3D printed money
People often send me special requests and ideas for new products because it’s something they either needed or wanted. Some people may look at this as childish or insane to love something like Star Wars but we all need an escape from reality at times. 3D modelling items to support Star Wars enthusiasts has become an escape for me too – I can hold in my hand what I see on screen.
