3D Printed Bear On Stairs

A 3D printed bear! by DBLG, . Combining stop frame animation, traditional 3D animation and 3D printing together is a new and creative process.

“Bear on stairs” is the beffiting title and the music goes perfectly. How can you not love this short animation? 3D printing used for creating a stop motion animation. The bear was 3D printed in 50 different positions by animators from Blue Zoo and design firm DBLG. Each stage of his walk is captured in one 3D print. It must have been a real labour of love.

As much to the point, how long before we see 3D printers using plasticine or something like it and we can have more frequent episodes of Wallace and Gromit. Now that really would get an Oscar nomination.

If you fancy one of those bears then DBLG have a competion over on their facebook page. A simple like and a few comments is all that is required – DBLG – London
